Description
The Lagavulin 16 Years is known by experts and connoisseurs as the “King of the Islay”. This essential single malt Scotch is a must have in any whisky enthusiasts collection. Aged for 16 years in oak casks, this single malt has characteristics of a southern Islay whisky – peat flavour with richness and dryness.
Deep amber gold in colour, the Lagavulin 16 Years is a full, rich bodied single malt scotch. Dry peat aromas fill the nose with hints of seaweed and rich, deep, sweetness. On the palate, the whisky has flavours of peat smoke with a gentle but strong sweetness followed by sea and salt with a dash of wood. The single malt has a long peat finish with lots of seaweed and salt.
Best enjoyed neat or with little still water at room temperature.
